Q:How do I request for a tutor?

Q: Do I have to pay a registration fee if I use your service?
A: No. We will charge no registration fee, no deposit, no advance payment for our services.
Q: Do you have trial session?
A: There is no trial lesson but you may ask for a tutor replacement at anytime if you are not satisfied with them.
Q: What do I do on the first lesson?
A: Please verify the tutor's identity and qualificational certificate/s if you wish. If there is any discrepancy, please inform us immediately.
Q: Do you provide tuition materials?
A: We do not provide tuition material. However you can discuss with the assigned tutor and seek help in buying the appropriate and relevant tuition materials.
Q: Can you guarantee improvement on my child?
A: We do not 100% guarantee improvement but will match and provide you the best suited tutor according to your requirements to ensure maximum result for your child.
Q: Do I have to pay any penalty if I want to change the tutor after I have confirmed the tutor?
A: There is no penalty imposed. There is also no minimum period to complete before requesting for the tutor change.
Q: Is there a contract with the tutor?
A: No. There is no contract binding you with the tutor. Private tutors are independent contractors and the agency neither bound them to a contract. You can terminate the tuition lessons at any time and that is also applicable for the tutor. However, if our tutor has already accepted our offer to take up the tuition assignment, he or she must complete at least 1 month tuition lesson unless you wish to find a tutor replacement or insist on changing the rate or schedule.
Q: Can I ask the tutor to buy assessment books for my child?
A: Yes. You can, but we strongly advise you to allow the tutor to conduct the 1st lesson and assess your child in order to buy the right books to meet their needs and requirements. You can ask the tutor for the receipt(s) for reimbursement.
Q: How long do I have to wait for a tutor once I register online?
A: Once we receive your enquiry our staff will call you on the same day and locate a suitable tutor within 24 to 48 hours.
Q: Can I choose my tutor? And how do I do that?
A: Yes. You may suggest all your tutor requirement and criteria. We will select and introduce the suitable tutor for your consideration. You can also refer to our "A checklist for parents on how to choose a tutor." and parent "FAQ"
Q: Am I allowed to check the tutor's credential or Educational Certificates if I wish to do so?
A: Yes. You are entitled to check the tutor's credential or educational certificate(s).
Q: Can I change the tutor if he/she is not suitable for my child?
A: Yes you can. Please call our office for an immediate replacement at any time without any additional charges.
Q: Do I have to pay for the second tutor?
A: Yes. Whether it is the first or second tutor , you are only paying for the conducted lessons and no other additional charges
Q: Do I have to pay for additional reading, writing or learning materials (e.g Assessment books, excercise books etc)
A: Yes. All additional materials will be taken care by the parent/student.
Q: How do you charge the Tuition Fee?
A: It depends on the type of tutor and qualification. It also differs from individual to individual.
Q: Do I have to pay for the first lesson if I decide to terminate the tutor?
A: If a parent/student wish to voluntarily stop tuition on the first lesson, we will charge a minimum administrative fee of $50 (or whichever is greater) to your account.
Q: If I encounter a problem with in regards to tuition, payment or tutor, what do I do?

Q: How do I Pay the Agency?

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - For Tutors
Q: How much do I have to pay for the matching service?
A: There is a commission of 50% for the first month tuition fee. No additional charge is imposed on the tutor.
Q: What is the minimum age with regards to tutors?
A: You have to be at least 17 years old to qualify for registration
Q: What is the minimum qualification required?
A: You need to have at least a Diploma to qualify or an O level with experience.
Q: Do I have to send in my IC/Student card or certificates as a proof of my qualification?
A: You are encouraged to email relevant documents upon the agency's request. However, please note that the information you send to us is strictly confidential and we will not send them to the client.
Q: How should I dress for the tuition job?
A: There is no particular hard and fast rule. As a tutor you should always look neat and presentable. Avoid showing off your body arts and/or indecent clothing.
Q:What happens if I terminate the tuition assignment within the first month?
A: You are strongly encouraged not to terminate tuition assignments prematurely as it will affect your credibility and the client is not bound to compensate you.
Q: I am having (E.G.) flu, Fever or headache e.t.c I don't feel like going for the tuition. Can I skip the tuition?
A: This is not a good excuse to miss your first lesson or regular lessons. From our experience, parents do not easily accept explanation like this. If you are truly sick please produce a medical certificate as to clarify the situation.
Q: How do I know if I have been accepted for a tuition assignment?
A: In the event that you have been accepted for an assignment, our agents will call you up to inform and discuss the terms with you. You can choose to reject the assignment if you wish.
Q: When will I get a tuition job assignment?
A: We do not guarantee you a tuition assignment even after registering as a tutor. Job assignments are based on the level of demand and the requirements which the client have specified. Generally our regular tutors have a higher priority in receiving tuition assignments.
